WHAT IS REIKI? (Pronounced Ray-key)

Energy healing that cleanses you of your limitations through unconditional love.

In its highest meaning “Rei” means Spiritual Consciousness or Divine Wisdom; the All-Knowing God Consciousness. That which understands the person, their problems, the cause and how to heal. “Ki” signifies the life force, the universal vital life force that animates all living things.

Reiki is easily defined as spiritually guided life force energy.  The basis of Reiki healing is love.  It is the coming together of spirit and matter.  Since the premise of Reiki is love, it can not be used for harm and nothing but what is in the person’s highest and best good comes in.

Reiki is a Japanese technique created by Sensei Mikaomi Usui which  promotes healing. Reiki is administered in many different ways, two of them being either the laying of the hands on a person’s body or just above the body as the administrator sends unconditional love to the receiver. The receiver then accepts this love and brings it through their entire body which allows them to release and let go of energetic blocks and barriers (limitations) placed within them through all that they are. The release of these limitations begins to heal the body on many levels. This allows the human body to feel more relaxed, feeling peaceful, safe, and an over all secure well being. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness.

Reiki is a simple, natural and safe method of spiritual healing and self empowerment that anyone and everyone can both do and utilize. An added benefit to a Reiki Treatment, whether you have given it to yourself, or someone administered it to you, is that it works beautifully with all other types of treatments whether they are eastern or western treatments. It has also been known to relieve side effects and promote a quicker recovery in some cases.

One of the forms of Reiki I was certified in was ‘Unlimited Reiki’ which originated from Dr. Mikaomi Usui. For Dr. Mikaomi Usui, working and healing was intuitive! As he did his intuitive healing, he gave it the name “Reiki.”

Let us talk about that for a minute, Dr. Usui is doing Intuitive healing and he gives it a name “Reiki.” What we have learned from the past is that once you give something a name, it has the ability to have limits placed on it by those that bring it forward and interpret it. Dr. Usui gave his healing a name and it has been passed on through the years to many teachers and there are a few different versions of Usui Reiki. I myself was certified in the ‘Usui Unlimited Reiki’ and the ‘Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki’ methods by two different teachers. Although I was taught symbols with Reiki and they showed these symbols in the manuals, the symbols meant the same thing but looked and were to be drawn over or on the body differently. Again, can we take a minute and think about that. How could they be different and mean the same thing from the same teacher? Because they were interpreted differently.

Through my years of learning and teaching Reiki, I have channeled a variety of healers, Dr. Usui being one of them, and I believe we (the channeled healers and I) are bringing Reiki back to the way it was intended to be - Limitless. We will give you knowledge on not only healing but energy changes and shifts in the consciousness that assist all of us in the many changes of the earth. We will bring you through “awareness techniques” that will no longer allow you to deny your power. This website can help anyone see and recognize the power that lies within whether you are a Reiki Practitioner or not.

Things that we had to do long ago, or even a year ago, are much easier now because the energy has shifted, and continues to shift, assisting us in awakening to our true limitless selves and making the earth much lighter. As the earth becomes lighter, things are easier to do and the true awareness of energy in and around us and the simplicity to it all unfolds easily. All we need do is pay attention and be aware of it. When you recognize the shifts and how much easier things become it gives you a different perspective on what is truly going on in your life and what you are creating.

Due to these shifts, and the overall consciousness changes occurring daily, we do not want to limit ourselves to Reiki and I will show you why a little further down the page. I want to open each of you up to a true awareness and limitless healing. We all have the ability to do healing, and we all are doing it on a daily basis, we just don’t realize it and many of us don’t think we have the ability or “gift”. We all have the “ability" and "gift” and I will show you, and you will show yourself, a little further down the page as well. You will be doing the same "experiences" that I listed on the home page.

What I am going to bring you through with this site may have you question what you have learned in Reiki if you are a practitioner, and will give those of you who are thinking of learning Reiki, or have taken Reiki I, II, or III something to think about as you move forward on your journey in healing. All I ask is that you keep yourself open and feel what resides with you and follow your truth. 

I would like you to open every aspect of yourself up to limitless healing. That means anything that is in everyone’s highest and best good and  unconditional love. If you think it, you make it your intention and it is so. It is that simple. It is your intention.

1. Stand up, lift your arms straight out to your sides, your palms are facing down to the floor and your arms are shoulder height.

2. Using the upper part of your body, turning at the waist, turn to one side as far as you can and make a mental note as to where the hand behind you is pointing in the room you are in.

3. Now stand straight, relaxing your arms and body.

4. Let’s set your intention by saying, to yourself, or out loud, “I believe with every ounce of my being that I can and will turn a quarter to a half degree further than I just did. Thank you.”

5. Lift your arms straight out to your sides again, your palms are facing down to the floor and your arms are shoulder height.

6. Again, using the upper part of your body, turning at the waist, turn to the same side you did previously and now see where your hand is pointing in the room and how much further you turned.

See how powerful your thoughts are? You told your body what to do and it did it. Your thoughts and words are what we call your intention. Your intention is creating your life experiences. See how powerful you are?

I said earlier that every one has the ability to do healing and we are all doing it on a daily basis. You do not realize how often you do healing on yourself. Think about it, when you cut yourself or stub your toe, or whatever it is, the first thing you usually do is grab that area with your hand. Let me show you what you are really doing when you grab that area.



1. Sit with both legs side by side and allow them to be complete dead weight. So relax them completely.

2. On one leg, place your hands in a position to lift that leg just above the knee. So you are lifting the lower part of your leg (from the knee down). Only use your hands to lift that leg.
 
3.  Do the same thing to the other leg. Again, lifting it with only your hands, no help from the leg.

4. Was one leg heavier than the other? If not, that is okay.

5. Take the leg that was heavier, or if they were the same weight, choose one of the legs and starting at the hip and the inner thigh, slide your hands down the leg and out the foot one or two times.

 6. Take the leg you just did that to and lift it again. Again, only using your hands to lift it with no help from the leg.

See how much lighter the leg became that you swiped your hands down?  That was because you just gave yourself a healing. Your body knows what it needs to do and is waiting for your guidance. You had no idea what you were doing just now and see how great your body responded? Your body knew what needed to be done and did it when you made the movements because it knew the intention.


Now let's do this experience with actually setting an intention....


1. Sit with both legs side by side and allow them to be complete dead weight. So relax them completely.

5. When you say “we” you are referring to every part of you. Set your intention by saying to yourself or out loud, “We release and let go of all we no longer need and now receive all we need. Thank you it is done.”

6. Take the leg that was heavier, or if they were the same weight, choose one of the legs and starting at the hip and the inner thigh, slide your hands down the leg and out the foot one or two times.

7.  Take the leg you just did that to and lift it again. Again, only using your hands to lift it with no help from the leg.

Could you notice how much lighter your leg was not only in general but compared to the first time you did this experience without setting your intention? See how powerful your words and thoughts are.


Earlier I mentioned the limitations that get placed once we name something and that we did not want to limit our healing to Reiki. Let me show you why we don't want to limit ourselves to Reiki.



1. Place your two hands in front of you facing each other. They are not touching and about 3 to 4 inches apart palms facing each other.
 
2. Think or say “Clear” meaning you are clearing the energy between your hands for the moment.
 
3. Now think or say “I now receive Reiki energy. Thank you.” You may have to play with it by moving your hands in or out more  until you feel the energy between your hands. It may feel like a resistence or like a ball between your hands, or a tingling, or heat or coolness  in your hands, or something different. Whatever you feel is perfect and right for you.  Everyone feels in their own way and it is always right. Take the time to feel it. It is there.

4. Sometimes it is easier to close your eyes and feel it because then you are not in everything in and around you and you can concentrate on the feeling of this energy. Play with this energy a little to really get a feel for it. The more you “play” with it the stronger the feel comes because you are opening your awareness and bringing forward that true healer within and limitless body of light you are.

What does Reiki energy feel like to you?

 
Now that you have felt the Reiki energy, let’s move on to another energy...

1. Keep, or place your hands in front of you facing each other.

2. Think or say “Clear” clearing the energy between your hands for the moment.

3. Now think or say  “I now receive Spiritually Guided Life Force energy. Thank you.” Again, play with it until you feel it by moving your hands in or outward. When you are feeling the energy of something, it will not always be the same size so remember to move your hands further out or in to feel it. It is there.

4. Again, close your eyes and play with this energy to really get a feel for it.
 
What does Spiritually Guided Life Force energy feel like to you?

Reiki is “easily defined as spiritually guided life force energy.” With that in mind, how can the Reiki energy and the spiritually guided life force energy feel so different? They are suppose to be the same thing. If you know Reiki to have a different meaning, stop and take the time to feel that energy as well. You will feel a difference between Reiki and whatever it is suppose to mean. 

It is different because we tap into the overall consciousness of Reiki and   it has a name and can be identified as a tangible thing to the human realm, therefore holds the limitations placed within it. Example, As people are teaching, and learning Reiki there is a consciousness being created with all that is being taught and learned. Through the years people have divided Reiki into their own interpretation and what they believed it was. This division and limitation goes into the creation of the overall consciousness. There are many teachers teaching Reiki in many different ways. All of this goes into that “consciousness” of what Reiki is. So let’s say you are doing a session and you call in the Reiki energy. You immediately tap into that consciousness and bring that energy in.

A better thing we can do for ourselves and all others is not to limit the session and to have our thoughts be that whoever we are working on is always receiving all they need. It is always in their highest and best good and bottom line is we, and they, are receiving unconditional love. There are no limitations and there is no overall consciousness to this because it has not been limited by a name.

Let’s feel this energy...This one you may feel in your entire body because we are asking to receive all we need.

1. Say or think “I now receive all I need. Thank you.” Close your eyes so you are not taking in everything around you and what is on your computer screen and put your thoughts to your body. See what you feel.

How does that feel? Could you feel that through your entire body or certain parts of the body? Your body knows what it is you need and bring it in from the purest source of Love. It is always pure and in your highest and best good.



In Reiki there are symbols that mean a variety of things like “bringing the energy down,” “spreading the energy out” and “emotional and mental protection.”   Let me ask this, if your thought (intention) was that you or the person you were helping was “receiving all they needed,” and they needed a particular symbol, would it not come in? Yes it would. Again, the body knows what it needs and will bring it in. If we are drawing symbols and providing Reiki energy we are completely limiting the healing for ourselves and the people we are assisting.

Let me share a story with you to help drive this point home. I was working on a client and as I was watching the energy, I saw a pencil come in to the client’s energy field and go into her heart. Her physical body moved upward a little as though it felt it. In the energy field, I looked at the pencil and it fell to its side and began to spin. All of a sudden it was like her entire heart just exploded with a variety of colors and they started to spread through her body. When the colors started to come from the heart and expand outward her physical body just went limp. Although I am writing this, and you are reading this calmly, know that I was freaking out.  I kept getting the message that she was fine and I was to continue what I was doing, I just had to move up and put my hand under her nose to be sure she was breathing! She was thank goodness so I continued with the treatment. After the session she told me that she felt like something pierced her heart but not in a painful or hurting way and that it began to spin and then she  felt this “beautiful wave of light” come over her and it was as though all of her worries and concerns and the heavy heart she had been carrying for years just left her and she was finally able to relax and enjoy the rest of the session and her life.

Can you see how my intention to send her all she needed gave her what she needed. I would have never thought to send her a pencil in a healing and that is what she needed. Again, her body knew what she needed and brought it in. So when you have the intention that whoever you are working on receives all they need, they will receive all they need. A symbol, a pencil, a particular type of energy, whatever it is!

Let us work together to bring Limitless Healing to the world and not get caught up in process or limitation and the energy of the past and how things were done. Let us stay in contact with the energy shifts and let the Divine guide us to the true limitless healing within each of us. The earth’s energy is in constant motion and continually changing the vibration of each and every one of us allowing things to become easier and easier for us to do from an energy point and it becomes harder for us to stay in the illusion of the human life. Let all of us realize how connected we all are and that we should be sending love to everyone and everything so we heal on a whole and return home to our true Oneness. Let each of us remember our wholeness.
